Tell us a little about yourself and what brought you to Huntley + Co?
I am originally from Birmingham, England. My background is in fashion and styling! I studied Fashion Design at The University of Westminster in London, specialising in menswear. Here I developed a strong eye for detail, composition, and the emotional impact of aesthetics and craft. I’ve worked in both client facing and creative roles while living in London, from personal styling and fabric consulting to luxury retail and editorial fashion environments such as photoshoots, music videos and brand collaborations. Over time, I found myself drawn to interiors as a natural extension of personal style. After travelling around Australia for the past 2 years, I have now settled in Sydney. What excites me about Huntley + Co is the community they have created for their trade clients, a place where everyone can grow and learn together in a creative space! I’m so excited for the next Style Minds event!
What led you to a career in the styling industry?
Styling has always been a natural part of how I see the world, whether it’s curating outfits, styling my home, merchandising store windows, or creating visual stories for clients. My career began in the fashion industry, where I loved the way a well put together look could instantly shift someone’s confidence or mood. Over time, I realised that interiors offered that same power, but on a larger, more lasting scale.
Do you have any particular design style or trend that you are drawn to?
I’ve always been drawn to Mid-Century Modern design! There is something about the clean lines, warm woods, and timeless silhouettes that really make a place feel like home. After recently moving into a new flat, I’ve found so much joy in sourcing one-off, character filled pieces that bring personality to a space. I purchased a sideboard before purchasing my fridge.
Where do you draw your creative inspiration from?
Pinterest is a huge source of inspiration for me. I have so many boards filled with everything from homewares and interiors to styled outfits and colour palettes. I love how easy it is to spot patterns in what I’m drawn to, it really helps me visualise how different elements can come together. Art galleries are another big influence, especially immersive, modern art. One of my favourite places to visit was the Tate Modern in London. I find so much emotion in contemporary work which often sparks ideas for composition, colour, or mood in my styling.
Tell us about your role and what you do at Huntley + Co?
I’m so thrilled to be part of the team at Huntley + Co as the Customer Service + Styling Consultant. My role is at the heart of our front-of-house experience, where I get to work closely with clients to create beautifully curated furniture and accessory schemes that help bring their homes to life. I also love supporting the incredible community of stylists we work with every day, helping ensure each project runs smoothly and feels creatively fulfilled. It’s such a rewarding mix of collaboration, creativity, and connection! I feel really lucky to be part of it.
What does great customer service mean to you?
To me, great customer service is all about making people feel seen, supported, and confident in their decisions. It’s not just about solving a problem or answering a question – it’s about listening closely, understanding the client’s needs, and offering thoughtful solutions that make their experience seamless and enjoyable.
Especially in a styling environment, great service means bringing both warmth and expertise. Whether it’s a trade client working to a tight deadline or someone styling their home for the first time, I always aim to bring calm, clarity, and a personal touch that builds trust.
Coffee or Tea?
Always a coffee – Iced caramel latte to be specific!
Where is your favourite place in the world to travel?
My favourite place in the world to travel is Vietnam. While travelling through Southeast Asia, I spent two weeks in Vietnam and aside from Australia, it really felt like home! Plus the coffee was amazing!
And that’s a wrap on our chat with Ellesha! We’re absolutely thrilled to have her on our team and know she’ll be a fantastic asset to Huntley + Co. Please join us in giving Ellesha a very warm welcome!
