Autumn Styling Tips

As the temperature drops and we welcome in brisk mornings and shorter days, the change in season is the perfect excuse to switch up your interior styling.

Here are some simple tips on how to spice up your home this Autumn….

Layer it up – Not only are layers practical in the cooler months, they can add texture, depth and an overall sense of cosiness to a room. Adding throws, cushions and rugs can really transform your space.

Introduce colour – Warm hues of rich reds, honey yellow and earthy greens inspired by nature can set the mood of your home and evoke a sense of calm. 

Bring in scent – As we move away from the airy scents of Summer, look for fragrances made with warming spices, smokey notes of leather, wood, and indulgent flavours like vanilla and cinnamon to warm up your space. 

Branches before bouquets – Lush and bright blooms take a backseat this season, when romantic and bold foliage come into play. Swap your usual floral arrangements for autumnal branches and leaves displayed in elegant vases.

If you rent the Display Stock for the purpose of marketing and selling a property and sale contracts exchange or the property is withdrawn from sale before the end of the Term, then:

  • we may request to collect the Display Stock immediately, at our discretion;
  • if this occurs during any ‘free weeks’ period of the Term in which there are no applicable Rental Fees, then you must allow us to collect the Display Stock early; and
  • in all other cases, if you accept our request, we will arrange early collection.

Schedule 1 – Risk Protection: fire, flood, theft, vandalism

(a)     Defined terms in this Schedule have the same meaning as in the Terms and Conditions above.

(b)     The terms in this Schedule apply if you choose to acquire risk protection when you place an Order.

(c)     You must pay us the fee for Risk Protection specified in the Schedule of Fees (Risk Protection Fee).

(d)     Upon payment of the Risk Protection Fee and subject to clause (e) below, for the duration of the Term, we release you from the Display Stock Indemnity in clause 15.2(c) to the extent that Loss arises from any of the following events (each a Defined Event):

(i)     theft and/or vandalism of one or more of the Display Stock items, resulting from a forcible entry, and provided that the theft or vandalism has been reported to the police station nearest to the Property within 48 hours of the event; and/or

(ii)     fire or flood damage to one or more of the Display Stock resulting from a fire or flood in the Property.

(Risk Protection)

(e)     The Risk Protection is subject to the following conditions.

(i)     Risk Protection does not extend to wilful or intentional acts committed directly or indirectly by you, or any party ordinarily resident at the Property.

(ii)     You must notify us of the occurrence of a Defined Event within 3 Business Days of the event occurring.

(iii)     Upon the happening of a Defined Event causing loss or damage to one or more items of Display Stock, you must pay us an excess per item of Display Stock lost, destroyed or damaged up to a maximum aggregate excess (per Schedule of Fees).
