Best Of: Valentine’s Day Inspired Styling

As Valentine’s Day rolls around this year, we wanted to take a look at one our biggest crushes: flirty and feminine décor that accompanies the love day celebrations. Think rosy hues, cosy textures and beautiful floral arrangements!

Whether you’re decorating for a date at home, throwing a Galentine’s party, or just looking for some inspiration to mix up your styling, we’ve picked out a few key must-have elements.

Think Pink

A lot of Valentine’s decorating that you’ll find unapologetically embraces bright pinks and reds, but these don’t translate quite as easily into interior styling. Using substitutes like dusty pinks, blush and earthy reds is the perfect way to incorporate that feminine colour scheme without overwhelming a space. Combined with natural textures and neutrals, this can make a space soft and gentle, so the pops of colour come through in a beautifully understated way.

Cosy Up

Whether you’re snuggling up with a partner, or with a bottle of wine and a movie, Valentine’s Day is all about cozying up. This means making a warm and inviting space. Focus your energies on your living and bedroom space to create that intimate space. We also love introducing luxurious textures like velvet and linen that call you to lounge all over them.

Roses are Red

Here at Huntley + Co our favourite part of Valentine’s Day are the beautiful blooms we see florists creating. It’s not only the thoughtfulness of giving, but the natural beauty that make our stylist hearts sing. But don’t feel that you have to stick just to red roses anymore! Try playing around with different seasonal flowers, choosing a mix of tones that are already scattered throughout your space. Mix it up with sculptural arrangements that have that organic overflowing quality.
